The Eldorado Family internship program is a pioneering initiative that began in 2023, with the aim of sharing the knowledge and experience of the Eldorado family with university students, roasters, baristas, and coffee lovers from around the world.
The program operates during the coffee harvest. Every 15 days, the farm receives 5 interns, who stay at Fazenda Santa Mônica, during the 15-day internship, the interns participate in all activities related to coffee, from planting to cup.
They work on suspended patios, where coffee is sun-dried, in the wet process, where coffee is washed and separated, in the fermentation room, where coffee undergoes different processes to enhance its aromas and flavors, in the sorting room, where coffee is evaluated for its quality and type, and in the tasting room, where coffee is tasted and scored.
Interns also have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Eldorado Family and to interact with producers, employees, and other interns, creating a network of contacts and friendships in the world of coffee.
